Phil Clarke comes from a background in the motor industry where he was Marketing Manager for Fiat, Lancia and Ferrari. Phil developed a passion for Italian food and wine, establishing A Touch of Italy in 1990 along with his wife Ann. Phil wanted to import essential authentic Italian products with a focus on high quality at affordable prices. He saw a gap in the market for the increasing number of New Zealand travellers returning from overseas wanting to re-create the many fabulous meals they experienced in Italy and were unable to find on their return.
Russell Pound brings a wealth of knowledge to our business with his background in restaurants and many years of involvement in importing and distribution.
